Who is Christ?

COL 2:2 "My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."

Nowadays there are so many Christians and people that beleive in Jesus Christ. But the bible says that Christ is a mystery. Then, how can this be so when He has so many 'followers'. This means people must beleive in a Christ of their own, not the one in the bible. Let's see more testimony concerning this matter.

COL 1:15 "He (Christ) is the image of the invisible God."2Cor 4:4 "The god of this age (the Devil) has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."

Then, how is this a mystery? First, it is written that He (Christ) is a mystery, and that He is the image of the invisible God. And again it is written that the Devil blinds the mind of the unbeleivers so that they may not acknowledge the Image of God who is Christ. Then, WHAT IS THE IMAGE OF GOD? WHAT IS THIS MYSTERY?
