"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth..." John 16:12-13

Believing is enough to be saved?
Some say that believing in Jesus Christ is enough to be saved, Do you think this is true? They say this because of the following verse:
Rm 10:9 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
Of course if you believe in Christ you are saved. That is because if you really believe in Him you will do whatever He tells you because nobody else can give you salvation but Christ Jesus Himself correct? Or can you tell Jesus what to do and how you want to receive your salvation? Impossible.
Believing is the first step. However, having faith in Christ is enough to be saved? We need to understand that at the time the book of Romans was written the truth was pure and there was only 1 way of following Christ. The christians of that time used to get persecuted so bad they would be put to death, this is why just by having faith at the time was enough to be saved. However, faith was acompanied by actions as well because they would follow all of the commandments of Jesus Christ.
Let's see if only by having faith we have salvation according to Jesus Christ Himself:
Mt 7:21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
HuH??? I thought beleiving in Christ was enough to be saved? Who calls upon Christ "Lord Lord"? Are these not the "born again Christians" and those who claim to be saved just because they call on His Name or by grace? How do you explain the words of Christ Himself? He continued and said:
Mt 7:22 "Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
How many claim they are saved just by beleiving and confessing with their mouth? MANY!Christ clearly says that by confessing and beleiving in Him isn't enough. For this reason, it is written:
Mt 15:7 "You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
8" 'These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
9They worship me in vain;
their teachings are but rules taught by men.'[d
Ouch! Christ Jesus Himself uttered these words. Can you deny this? Those who do not do the will of God, worship Christ in vain because just by beleiving is impossible to receive salvation.
James 2:14-18
Faith and Deeds
What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? ..faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
18But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."
What did Christ tell us to keep? The Passover. In the same way, whoever does not keep the Passover is dead in the eyes of God and cannot have eternal life (Jn 6:53)
James 2:18 "..Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.
Even in the world is heard that "Action speaks louder the words" Therefore, whoever has deeds speaks louder than those who only have lip service with no action, who's faith is dead and useless. What about the Apostle Paul? Did he ever say he had faith? Or did he proved to have faith? (1Cor 11:23-29)
James 2:20 "You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[a]? 21Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,"[b] and he was called God's friend. 24You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.
25In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction?"
Is this clear? Even a prostitute in the bible is considered faithful by God because of her actions. What about those who claim to only have faith with no action?
Matthew 21:32
Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.
Will you insist that just by confessing with your mouth Jesus is Lord you are saved? If you do, you are not in the bible and do not belong to God for it is written:
Jn 8:47 "He who belongs to God hears what God says (keeps the Passover). The reason you do not hear (do not keep the Passover) is that you do not belong to God.
Let's see the true way to receive God's grace:
John 14:15 "If you love me you will obey what I command"
John 15:10 "If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love"
What did Christ tell us to do in his rememberance? Let's see:
Lk 22:8 "Jesus sent Peter and John saying, "Go and make prepartions for us to eat the Passover"
Lk 22:15 "And he (Jesus) said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer."
Whoever loves Christ must obey what He commands. He commanded his disciples to keep the Passover. Even the Apostles and disciples kept the Passover after Christ went to heaven (1Cor 11:23)
Let's confirm His firm will on the keeping of the Passover and who the Passover is for:
Lk 22:19 "And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying "This is my body given for you; do this in rememberance of me. Do what in his rememberance? That is, Keep the Passover.
Lk 22:20 "In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "this cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."
These are the very words of Christ Jesus Himself. Whoever accepts these words of Christ truely loves God and God's love is made complete in Him. Whoever rejects is nothing but a cloud without rain and wild waves of the sea foaming up their shame;wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever (Jd v.12). Please accept the Word of God so that you may receive salvation. Don't be deceived by men. Our thoughts and God's thoughts are not the same. For this reason Christ had to come 2,000 years ago to show us the way of live and a Second Time as Christ Ahnsahnghong (Heb 9:28) to remind us of all these precious teachings of life.
Thanks to be to Christ Ahnsahnghong for allowing us to understand that faith without deeds is dead. Even though it's written in the bible, Christians nowadays choose not to see those verses because that is not what their itchy ears want to hear. But Christ Ahnsahnghons is true God and He tells us what we need to hear not what we want to hear. All praise and thanks to Heavenly Father Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heaven's Holy Mother New Jerusalem.

Nowadays, people want the easy way to salvation. What's easier to do: to go to church at God's appointed times and believe in a name that no one believes in, but the Bible testifies about? Or Just believe in Jesus, a name tha tthe whole world knows and doing whatever you want?
Yeah, that's why most people want to just believe. We live in a lazy generation.
