The Reason Why God Will Destroy the World (2)

WHAT IS THE EVERLASTING COVENANT

We already learned through Is. 24 the reason why God will destroy the inhabitants of the earth and the whole world. Because we did not keep the everlasting covenant and violated the law of God. Then, let us understand what is the everlasting covenant so that YOU CAN BE SAVED FROM DESTRUCTION AND ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.

Heb 13:7 "May the God of peace, who through the BLOOD OF THE EVERLASTING COVENANT brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus..."

The Everlasting Covenant is found in Jesus blood. Then how can we receive the blood of Christ? This is crucial to understand because it determines whether we will go to heaven or fall short of God's mercy. Let us see through Jesus own words.

Lk 22:15 "... I have eagerly desired to EAT THIS PASSOVER with you before I suffer... and he took bread... this is my body given for you do this in rememberance of me.
Lk 22:19 "In the same way, ater the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the NEW COVENANT IN MY BLOOD, which is poured out FOR YOU."

The everlasting Covenant is the Passover which Jesus Christ established 2,000 years ago when He first came. This is the way to receive salvation, no just beleiving in the Name of Jesus but obeying what He commanded us to keep (Jn 14:15).

HOWEVER, in the year 325 AD in the Council of Nicea, the Roman Emperor Constantine abolished the Passover and introduced many pagan teachings into Christianity and as a result the truth dissappeared. He introduced communion, euchrist, christmas, so many festivals that are not biblical which only store up the wrath of God. For this reason Christ prophesied He will come a Second Time.
